Automicle acquired by Namma Yatri parent Moving Tech to enter Europe

As part of its plan to expand internationally, Moving Tech Innovations, the parent company of Namma Yatri, has purchased Automobile Holding BV, located in the Netherlands.

The transaction signifies the company’s debut in Europe, where it intends to replicate its community-led, zero-commission mobility model in international markets.

The company will continue to collaborate with transportation ecosystems and city-level stakeholders while using Automicle’s presence to expand its offerings globally.

Moving Tech, a Bengaluru-based company, runs mobility services like Bharat Taxi, Yatri Sathi, and Namma Yatri. It operates on a commission-free direct-to-driver business model.

According to the company, the acquisition will help expand its open mobility framework in European cities, where issues like high platform commissions and disjointed transportation systems still exist.

According to the company, Moving Tech has facilitated more than Rs 2,500 crore in driver earnings and completed over 150 million trips across its platforms.

In India, Namma Yatri is an open-mobility, zero-commission platform that links customers with drivers of cars and taxis for reasonable rides. The app provides a hassle-free ride-hailing experience and is available in cities like Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, and Chennai.

In a recent pre-Series A extension round headed by Juspay founder Vimal Kumar and others, Namma Yatri raised Rs 39.75 crore, or about $4.4 million.
