B2B e-commerce marketplace launched by Ghanaian startup Plendify
Plendify’s B2B marketplace enables customers from all over the world and the African diaspora to buy items in bulk or retail quantities from Ghana’s local suppliers, distributors, and manufacturers in an easy and secure manner.
The startup offers a business directory of Africa’s top suppliers as well as the ability for customers to request bids directly on the site. Suppliers can also purchase and sell in bulk from one another.
Plendify has over 1,000 suppliers, according to co-founder Michael Manirakiza, including major Ghanaian companies like Vitamilk, Bel Aqua, and Tika Mall.
“This has given local buyers a wide variety of choices of high-quality products in major categories such as food and beverage, homeware and appliances, and building and construction,” he said.
“This relatively new platform enables those in the diaspora now to enjoy access to these previously hard-to-reach suppliers. Buyers can now pay with their international cards and track their local deliveries directly in the app or website from anywhere in the world.”
The firm intends to connect more African countries in the near future, allowing more customers from across the world to begin doing business with African companies.
