B2B textile manufacturing startup Fantail raised Rs 13.75 Cr Seed funding

Riverwalk Holdings, Incubate Fund Asia, and All In Capital led a seed funding round for Fantail, a B2B textile manufacturing startup based in Surat that raised Rs 13.75 crore, or about $1.6 million.

The money raised will be used to help partner SMEs in Surat develop the capacity to produce on a large scale and efficiently.

Fantail, which was founded in 2023 by Ramya Iyer, works directly with weavers, mills, and processors to integrate end-to-end manufacturing, from the yarn stage to finished clothing.

Following its founding by Iyer, who has more than ten years of experience working with Surat’s textile supply chain, this is Fantail’s first institutional round.

“In B2B, timing is of great significance. I have personally worked with the Surat ecosystem for a decade, and in the coming years, we will see a lot of action in manufacturing 2.0 here,” said Iyer.

The startup claims that its methodical approach facilitates reduced capital inefficiencies, enhanced quality control, and quicker turnaround times.
