Beverage startup LB Brewers raised $1.5 M Pre-series A funding from Sheba Venture, others

Latambarcem Brewers (LB Brewers), a beverage startup, has raised $1.5 million (about Rs 12.5 crore) in a pre-Series A round led by Sheba Venture Holdings, Dhruv Agarwala, SPV, and other investors.

According to a press release from LB Brewers, the new funding will accelerate its growth and cemented its position as a market leader in natural functional beverages.

Aditya Ishan Varshnei and Anish Varshnei, brothers, co-founded LB Brewers in 2017. The company employs a holistic approach that includes supply chain management, product development, manufacturing, and brand building. The platform features two primary brands: Borecha, a functional beverage brand with a selection of health-conscious beverages, and Maka Di, which offers a variety of distinctive craft beers. Their standout product is their probiotic kombucha.

The Goa-based business claims to provide additional goods like Bavarian Keller, Super Maka, Belgian Triple, and others. As the first kombucha and sparkling iced tea served on an Indian airline, the startup claims that its health-focused beverage has gained significant traction through a partnership with Akasa Air and Air India Express.

Latambarcem Brewers says it has increased its presence in the US, Canada, the United Arab Emirates, and other international markets. This year, it intends to expand into 11 European nations. The startup expects to generate an annual revenue of Rs 300 crore in the next three years.
