Blockchain startup AWST secured $1.7 M from multiple investors
AWST, a blockchain startup with offices in Singapore, has secured US $1.7 million in a fundraising round that was co-founded by 500 Global and Antler and was headed by East Ventures.
AWST, which was founded in October 2020, assists businesses and brands in launching NFT collections on various blockchain protocols, therefore integrating them into the Web3 ecosystem. Its products and services are utilized for NFT-based event tickets, and it also offers NFT vending machines, some of which can be found at the National Gallery Singapore.
Arun Sugumaran and Aleksandar Abu Samra founded AWST, which claims to be the first Web3 company in Asia to collaborate closely with payment juggernaut Stripe for handling NFT transactions.
The firm has ambitions to create new solutions that will link different businesses with NFT initiatives that facilitate value exchange in the real world.
The latest in a string of investments in Singaporean Web3 companies is AWSt’s fundraising round.
A seed round sponsored by Lingfeng Innovation Fund has received US $1.7 million for the Web3 fitness app Gritti. Suberra, a company that provides payment infrastructure, also declared earlier this month that it had received US $2.7 million in two rounds.
