AI-driven platform for customer interaction Through its Artha Venture Fund II, Cheerio AI has raised Rs 8 crore in a seed funding round headed by Artha Venture Fund.
Hyderabad Angels, TiE Angels, LetsVenture, Invention Engine, and a number of angel investors participated in the round as well.
The money raised will be used to strengthen automation features and enterprise-grade infrastructure, expand into voice and video channels, and develop multi-modal AI capabilities, including a proprietary small-model LLM for ad generation.
As it gets ready to go global, Cheerio AI also intends to hire in engineering, AI, enterprise sales, and customer success over the course of the next six months.
Cheerio AI, which was founded by Nishant Das, Avinash, and Priam, creates an AI-powered customer engagement platform that optimizes the CAC-to-LTV equation for businesses. Through channels like WhatsApp, email, SMS, social messaging, and in-app communication, the platform combines marketing, support, and sales workflows.
The startup claims to have increased client revenue by over Rs 500 crore through retention automation, and it currently serves over 150 enterprise clients in six industries. Over the previous two years, the company’s revenue increased by 450% annually.
