Cleantech startup Fluid Analytics raised $1.6 M Pre-Series A funding

In its pre-Series A funding round, Pravega Ventures and an angel investor helped cleantech startup Fluid Analytics raise $1.6 million.

The company stated in a press release that the money will be utilized to carry out a global scale-up expansion, with an emphasis on North America.

Fluid Analytics was founded by Nidhi Jain and Asim R. Bhalerao to monitor water infrastructure health, waterway conditions, and the large-scale spread of diseases that are transmitted through the water.

The startup says it has successfully implemented solutions, tracked spills of over 400 million gallons (1.5 billion liters) of urban wastewater, and made it possible to treat and reuse more than 200 million gallons (800 million liters) of wastewater every day.

Over 17.5 million people are still being watched for water-borne illnesses, which are a sign of sewage spills. Through partnerships with utilities, contractors, and engineering firms, its business model assists cities in addressing water pollution in a sustainable manner.

Seed and pre-Series A funding is the primary focus of Pravega Ventures. Among the companies in its portfolio are Cashinvoice, GrayQuest, Fyle, SalarySe, and Crofarm (now Otipy).
