Climate-Smart Agriculture Angel Network open for applications

Applications for the Climate-Smart Agriculture Angel Network cohort are now being accepted by Scaling Digital Agriculture Innovations through Startups (SAIS) and the African Business Angel Network (ABAN).

While SAIS, a project carried out by the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), is a company development and accelerator program that offers an investment readiness program for agri-tech and climate-tech entrepreneurs, ABAN is the largest pan-African organization of angel investors.

The Climate Smart Agriculture Angel Investor Capacity Development (CAICD) program was launched by the two in October, according to media reports. Its goal was to improve the ecosystem for angel investment in climate-smart agriculture.

The first Climate-Smart Agriculture Angel Network cohort is currently accepting applications. The network is looking for driven and committed individuals who are enthusiastic about expanding angel investing in Africa and who want to influence the direction of climate-smart agriculture investment.

In order to increase their effectiveness and engagement, the program seeks to enlist business angels as members of the Climate-Smart Agriculture Angel Network and offers them training, technical assistance, and tools tailored to their particular context.

Technical support, venture showcases, networking, and training will be important events. By December 20th, interested parties can complete the application form.
