Climate tech startup Aurassure raised $4 M Seed funding from Unicorn India Ventures
Aurassure, a climate technology startup based in Bhubaneswar, has raised $4 million in a seed round headed by Unicorn India Ventures.
According to a press release from Aurassure, the money will be used to increase product capabilities, obtain product certifications for international scaling, and expand the sales team to multiple cities.
The IoT-enabled intelligent systems used by Aurassure, which was founded by Akanksha Priyadarshini, Vamsi Krishna, Raviteja Cherukuri, and Omprakash Patra, collect real-time data and analyze it to provide accurate forecasts and updates on disasters and frequently changing weather patterns like floods, air pollution, and rainfall along with other climate data, can help governments and citizens make decisions for a healthy and safe lifestyle.
The company has reportedly signed up clients like Tata Realty, L&T Realty, P&G, Honeywell, IIT Bombay, and Google. The company asserts that its QoQ growth was 40% and that it has grown its operations to include Bhubaneswar, Chennai, Aurangabad, Rajkot, and Delhi.
Recently, Unicorn India Ventures announced that Fund III’s first close had reached Rs 1,000 crore. With the help of this Fund, UIV hopes to amass a portfolio of 25 startups with a global SaaS and digital platform focus.
In 2023, a number of climate tech startups have been successful in raising money. Pre-seed funding round led by startup accelerator PedalStart raised $80K for Newtral.io in July. In a seed round led by Sequoia Capital India and Aavishkaar Capital in May, Newtrace raised $5.65 million.
