Co-founder of Infosys, Kris Gopalakrishnan invested in Resorcio for 8.1% stake

Kris Gopalakrishnan, co-founder of Infosys, has invested in Resorcio, a multilingual content aggregation start-up located in this city, for an 8.19 percent share. According to a press announcement issued on Monday, the investment was made through the family office, Pratithi Investments. Resorcio is a knowledge-creation, knowledge-sharing, and knowledge-monetization e-commerce platform. The platform offers multilingual material in a variety of forms across a wide range of disciplines. Resorcio has had over 2 million unique visits from all around the world in less than 5 months since its start.

“Resorcio is an important step towards revolutionizing the growing demand for quality content. Irrespective of the field, the content marketplace has undoubtedly witnessed an upsurge,” Kris said. “In a short span, Resorcio has emerged as a digital space for all kinds of content for the 21st-century knowledge society. Resorcio is an attempt to disrupt the content marketplace and serve as a global platform for students, youth, and professionals alike,” he added.

According to Geethika Sudip, co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Resorcio, Resorcio occupies a position that complements the online learning courses given by industry giants. “The hybrid model of learning and working is here to stay. This makes Resorcio’s model — of being an online bazaar where you can buy, sell, and search for content — truly relevant. The option to monetize User Generated Content and the availability of regional languages are our key differentiators.”

Geethika Sudip was recently named one of Kerala’s Top Corporate Women Leaders by the Bangalore-based Women Entrepreneurs Forum. Resorcio currently has content in the following languages: English, Malayalam, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Sanskrit, and Arabic. From July 2022, content in Hindi and Bengali will be available. In addition to the already available textual and audible information, the inclusion of video content is in the works. Resorcio also offers a free certification programme that trains instructors with online-teaching abilities on a regular basis, in an effort to address the bigger issue of the digital skills divide.
