Communities of Egyptian entrepreneurs The Greek Campus and MQR team up
Two of Egypt’s largest entrepreneurial communities, The GrEEK Campus and MQR have announced a formal merger agreement.
The GrEEK Campus, a center for domestic innovation, was established in 2013 and allows companies of all sizes to collaborate to create and expand new concepts, goods, and services. MQR is a workspace provider that provides turnkey workspace solutions like hot desks, coworking spaces, and meeting room packages.
The two organizations have now announced a merger that will create the largest entrepreneur-member community in Egypt. The newly combined companies have a total of 50,000 square meters of commercial space spread throughout Egypt and a resident community of more than 3,500 people who represent more than 450 businesses.
The two brands will carry on running separately under centralized management. Members will be able to broaden their networks, form new connections, and find new business opportunities thanks to the 14 locations that the companies’ combined operations have.
In the upcoming year, a number of new projects will be launched, along with a completely new workspace concept, and extensive and integrated design-build, furnishing, and procurement services. Additionally, the combined businesses plan to introduce robust and efficient services through a single online platform in 2024 that will let members search for and reserve workspace as well as special events and perks.
“By joining forces, we aim to create a stronger and more supportive ecosystem for businesses to grow and succeed. This collaboration represents a new era of cooperation and innovation in the workspace industry, and we believe it will help our member companies drive economic growth and create new jobs,” said Ahmed El Alfi, chairman and founder of The GrEEK Campus.
