Condiments brand Kaatil raised undisclosed Seed funding

Smerc Food & Beverages’ Kaatil hot sauce brand, which specializes in Indian chillies, has raised an undisclosed sum in its seed round, which was led by Prajay Advisors of Mumbai and included Shivaan Ghai and Romil Ratra from Mumbai’s Graviss Group.

Kaatil recently declared herself the winner of the Guild of Fine Foods, U.K.’s Great Taste Award 2024.

The money raised will be utilized to increase the company’s product offerings and global reach through a variety of domestic and international distribution channels, such as quick commerce, e-commerce marketplaces, and physical retail locations.

In order to serve eateries, lodging facilities, and cafés, it also intends to open a separate B2B supply division.

Established by Arjun Panwar, a Sagar Merchant, Kaatil offers a diverse range of products across several categories, such as hot sauces, hot ketchups, and oils infused with Indian chillies.

Currently, Kaatil can be purchased offline in Mumbai, Pune, and Hyderabad as well as online at its direct-to-consumer website, www.kaatil.in, Amazon, Big Basket, and Nature’s Basket.

Products from the Mumbai-based company are now sold in physical stores in Canada and New Zealand as well as on Amazon USA.
