Cornerstone Ventures led Rs 15 Cr Seed funding raised by Nitro Commerce
A seed funding round led by Cornerstone Ventures has secured Rs 15 crore ($1.8 million) for Nitro Commerce, a revenue-as-a-service platform for D2C and e-commerce brands. Warmup Ventures, Lead Angels, Dholakia Ventures, India Accelerator, and individual investors Arjun Vaidya, Kunal Khattar, Nikunj Jain, and Piyush Jain also participated in the round.
According to a statement from Nitro Commerce, the money will go toward creating core technologies that facilitate sourcing and enrichment for D2C and e-commerce brands.
Nitro Commerce; co-founded in 2023 by Umair Mohammed, Atyab Mohammed, Shamail Tayyab, and Pratik Anand; is a revenue-as-a-service platform that offers full stack functionality to the D2C and e-commerce markets. The platform’s goal is to give the market access to technologies that support customers at the top and middle of the funnel, enabling them to grow faster and more profitably.
The co-founders had earlier started Wigzo, which Shiprocket purchased in 2021.
By democratizing its technology, simplifying its deployment for merchants, and providing it as an outcome-as-a-service, Nitro hopes to become profitable by 2025.
The startup says that over 100 D2C brands have been on boarded in the last six months, and by the end of the year, it hopes to have over 1,000 brands on board.
The Gurgaon-based business claims that it will launch a novel strategy to combine digital advertising and e-commerce with customized and astute data-driven products. In this market, Klaviyo, Elastic Path Software, Bango, Yotpo, Rokt, and other competitors are its rivals.
