Cybersecurity startup Zeron raised $500K Seed funding from Varanium Capital, others

Zeron, a company that manages cyber risk posture, has raised $500,000 in a seed round from Yatra Angel Network and Varanium Capital, a fintech-focused fund.

The money will be put to use, says Zeron, for projects related to research and development as well as growing its presence internationally.

The startup received funding earlier this year from 100X.VC, an early-stage investor, as well as angel investors Anoop Mathur (AM Capital) and K.R.S. Jamwal (Tata Industries).

Sanket Sarkar founded Zeron, which provides solutions for businesses looking to secure their online presence. It effectively combats the cybersecurity challenges by ensuring clients make informed decisions using artificial intelligence (AI).

Affin Bank, NTUC, Aditya Birla Capital, and Bank Open are a few of its clients. It is currently present in places like Indonesia, Canada, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the Philippines.

SquareX, a startup in cybersecurity, raised $6 million in a seed round led by Peak XV Partners in May.

Principal backer Varanium NexGen makes investments in early-stage fintech startups. FinTechs like EaseBuzz, Riskcovry, GetVantage, Homeville, DataSutram, and FinVu were previously investments made by the company.
