D2C brand The Good Bug raised $3.5 M Series A funding from Fireside Ventures

An early-stage venture capital fund with a consumer sector focus, Fireside Ventures, led a $3.5 million Series A round for the direct-to-consumer brand The Good Bug, which focuses on gut health.

The Good Bug announced in a press release that the additional funding will be used for marketing, market expansion, hiring, and the creation of new gut health products.

The startup, which was established in 2022 by Prabhu Karthikeyan and Keshav Biyani, provides a variety of gut health and wellness products that assist people in reversing the negative effects of unhealthful eating and lifestyle choices. The company says it has more than 100,000 customers and aims to generate Rs 250 crore in sales in three years.

The Good Bug claims to have a strong R&D team and probiotic experts, and it has developed 15 SKUs that are spread across four main portfolios: digestive health, women’s health, children’s health, and metabolic health. The startup sells daily supplements, powders, and sticks on e-commerce websites and through its own website.

In a number of different categories, the startup faces off against companies like The Good Stuff, Wellbeing Nutrition, and HealthKart.
