D2C fashion brand The Pant Project raised $4.25 M Series A funding

A venture capital fund called Sorin Investments, which was established by former KKR India CEO Sanjay Nayar, led a $4.25 million Series A round for The Pant Project, a direct-to-consumer fashion brand that specializes in custom-made and ready-to-wear pants.

Renowned investors MGA Ventures, Huddle, Dexter Ventures, Indian Silicon Valley, and seasoned angels Arjun Vaidya, Avni Biyani, Nikhil Bhandarkar, and Vijay Taparia also participated in the round.

From its start, the business was entirely funded by its own resources.

According to a press release from The Pant Project, the money raised will be utilized to expand the company’s workforce, technological prowess, retail presence, and brand awareness.

The Pant Project is a digitally native company that was founded in 2020 by Dhruv and Udit Toshniwal. It offers custom-made pants that fit all Indian body types.

In 2023, it ventured into the ready-to-made pants market and implemented an omnichannel strategy. The brand offers pants in 250 styles for men and women, including formals, chinos, jeans, cargos, joggers, power stretch knit pants, luxury linens, and wools.

The Pant Project states that its own website generates 65% of its total revenue. It is available in brick-and-mortar stores in Bengaluru and Mumbai as well as on e-commerce sites like Amazon and Myntra.

Over 1 lakh customers, according to the brand, have been served in the last four years. Along with expanding its bottom wear selection with the introduction of more casual and athleisure options, the company intends to open new brick and mortar stores across the nation.
