D2C startup eské raised $1.5 M Pre-Series A funding from Mistry Ventures

A pre-series A round led by Mistry Ventures raised $1.5 million for the Mumbai-based direct-to-consumer (D2C) lifestyle brand eské. Fluid Ventures provided additional support for this round.

According to a press release from eske, the money will be used to diversify its product offering, open experience centers, improve its technology platform, and enter new markets.

Since its launch five years ago, eské has provided high-end handbags, briefcases, and accessories for the modern consumer across the globe in the Rs 3,000–Rs 10,000 price range.

In addition to having offline stores in a few cities across India, the brand has a significant online presence thanks to its own website and a number of other e-commerce platforms.

Currently, Eske gets most of its revenue from its website, and then from other e-commerce sites. This year, according to the brand, was profitable, and it plans to double growth in the upcoming year.

Prior to this round, in April 2022, Fluid Ventures led a seed funding round in which the startup raised Rs 2.5 crore ($330,499).
