Deep-tech startup Contineu raised $1.2 M Seed funding from SenseAI Ventures

SenseAI Ventures led a $1.2 million seed funding round for the deep tech startup Contineu, with Piper Serica Angel Fund also contributing.

The money will be used to develop the AI-powered vertical data infrastructure stack for the construction sector, automating site-level visibility, compliance checks, and quality monitoring at scale, according to a press release from Contineu.

Harshil Naik and Kanao Ramesh co-founded Contineu in 2023. The company uses a proprietary platform that combines 3D computer vision models with 360° cameras mounted on helmets to eliminate the need for manual data entry on construction sites. The system automatically records on-site images and transforms them into organized insights, starting with documentation and QA/QC detection.

In construction datasets, Contineu claims that its AI pipeline continuously outperforms state-of-the-art (SOTA) benchmarks, allowing for high-accuracy defect and non-compliance detection, automated documentation, and execution insights—all without the need for human input.

According to the platform, it is already witnessing early enterprise adoption in both India and overseas, with signs of product-market fit and a growing sales pipeline.

Global infrastructure players are able to make quicker, more intelligent decisions on-site thanks to Contineu’s goal of creating the vertical AI data stack for construction.
