Deeptech startup Nvsion raised Seed funding from Cambrian Fund

With Cambrian Fund as its sole investor, Nvsion, a deeptech startup based in Malaysia, announced last Friday that it had successfully closed a “multi-million-ringgit seed round.”
According to a statement from the company, the money will be used to boost Nvsion’s expansion in a number of crucial areas, such as developing and launching new products, hiring top talent, and growing its clientele.
The business sees a lot of potential to expand its platform into other advanced manufacturing industries, like advanced electronics, automotive, and medical devices, where accuracy and productivity are crucial.
Its proprietary Synthia Vision AI Platform, which combines rule-based algorithms and artificial intelligence (AI) for high-speed industrial applications, is its main technological component.
“Securing this first round of funding is a defining moment for Nvsion,
“We are honored to welcome Cambrian Fund as our first investor,” said Jeffrey Chung Wai Loong, the firm’s Founder and Managing Director.
“Their backing not only validates our vision and technology but also gives us access to world-class expertise and networks,
“With their support, we are confident in our ability to deliver greater innovation, expand our world-class customer base, and contribute to Malaysia’s emergence as a leader in advanced manufacturing,” he added.
The investment also fits with Cambrian Fund’s approach of supporting Southeast Asian tech firms with outstanding founders and a clear route to market leadership.
“We launched Cambrian Fund to back visionary founders building the next generation of global technology leaders,” said Kenneth Tan, Chief Executive Officer of Southern Capital Group, the manager of Cambrian Fund.
“We are proud and excited to partner with Jeffrey and his team. Nvsion’s advanced, software- first approach to machine vision is set to make a significant impact in a critical and rapidly growing part of the Industrial 4.0 landscape,
“We are confident in their potential to scale and become a market leader, and we look forward to supporting them on their transformative journey,” he added.
Since its founding in February 2025, Nvsion has focused on developing AI-powered automated optical inspection (AOI) systems.
In order to guarantee high precision, enhance quality, and boost productivity in the electronics manufacturing services (EMS) and outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) sectors, the startup creates cutting-edge AOI solutions.
The Cambrian Fund, which focuses on the semiconductor industry, is managed by Southern Capital Group with anchor investors Khazanah Nasional, ViTrox Corp Bhd co-founders, and its Dana Impak fund.
