Defence tech startup Armory raised Rs 13 Cr from GrowX Ventures

In a funding round led by growX Ventures, the defense technology startup Armory raised Rs 13 crore, or about $1.5 million, with the help of several angel investors, Industrial 47, Antler, AC Ventures, and Dexter Ventures.

The money raised will be utilized to accelerate deployment, increase manufacturing, and improve R&D.

Amardeep Singh founded Armory in 2024 to create domestic counter-drone systems (C-UAS) that can identify, track, and destroy rogue drones.

Several Indian Army units have participated in field tests of its flagship system, SURGE. Samaritan OS, an AI-led defense operating system that provides real-time adaptability and continuous learning—features absent from conventional systems—powers the company’s technology.

Earlier this month, Ashish Kacholia led a Series A funding round for aerospace and defense startup Sanlayan Technologies, which raised Rs 186 crore ($22 million).

Pixxel, Progcap, Pantherun, Bellatrix Aerospace, Wiom, Lightspeed Photonics, and CynLr are among the companies in the portfolio of early-stage venture capital firm growX Ventures.
