Dexcel Electronics acquired by former Zetwerk employees’ startup Sanlayan
The majority of Dexcel Electronics, a 20-year-old embedded systems business, has been purchased by Sanlayan Technologies, a strategic electronics startup.
Through this acquisition, Sanlayan will be better equipped to provide cutting-edge domestic solutions that promote national security and spur technological advancement in vital industries like space, aerospace, and defense.
Sanlayan, which was founded by former Zetwerk employees Abhijit Kothawale, Rohan Gala, and Rahul Vamsidhar, raised $4.4 million from major institutional investors last year, including Singularity Ventures and Gemba Capital.
Major defense and space projects that Dexcel has helped with include ISRO’s Chandrayaan-3 and Aditya-L1 missions, as well as upgrades to Jaguar and Sukhoi aircraft.
“Joining forces with Sanlayan represents a transformative step for Dexcel. This partnership will manifold our R&D investments, enabling us to deliver impactful solutions to our customers,” said Amit Kumar Sinha, CEO & Managing Director of Dexcel Electronics Designs.
The acquisition of Dexcel will expand its core competencies to tackle embedded electronic system challenges, according to Rohan Gala, CEO of Sanlayan.
From February 10 to 14, Sanlayan and Dexcel will present their innovations at Aero India 2025.
