DigiQure, healthcare startup providing teleconsultations for just Re 1
DigiQure, a startup which is revolutionizing the healthcare sector in India by providing teleconsultations for just Rs 1, is working towards bridging the gap between healthcare providers and patients, especially in remote and rural areas.
Commenting on this, Akanksh Tandon, Founder, DigiQure, said, “In rural areas, people blame their destiny and God’s will if anyone succumbs to the disease. If that is the case, then why do children in other countries not die in large numbers? It is not what God wanted for us; it is an infrastructure gap.”
With the use of technology, the startup is making it easier for people to connect with concerned doctors via video consultations and eliminating the need to travel far.
The Madhya Pradesh based startup was founded in 2018 by Akanksh Tandon, Saket Asati and Ankur Chourasia. Currently, the startup has catered to more than 20,000 people living in rural areas in Madhya Pradesh. The platform offers a subscription to residents in an affordable price which is Re 1 per day. With the help of these cards, people can get access to teleconsultations for free at e-clinics which have been built by DigiQure.
DigiQure also offers other services which include lab tests, medicine delivery, and electronic medical records.
Akanksh Tandon said, “These e-clinics are a two-room centre where patients bring their Saksham cards and book their appointments with doctors. Until the doctor joins, trained healthcare workers conduct preclinical screening to check blood pressure, blood glucose levels, and electrocardiogram (ECG). After this, they are connected with highly qualified doctors within 2–5 minutes, and given an e-prescription as well.”
With its affordable healthcare solutions, DigiQure aims to bring in innovation in the healthcare sector in India by making quality healthcare available to everyone, especially in remote locations.
