Diri Care raised $4.3 M Seed funding from East Ventures, Surge

East Ventures and Sequoia Capital’s Surge program together led a round of seed investment totalling US $4.3 million for the Indonesian healthtech platform Diri Care.

The financing was also supported by angel investor Henry Hendrawan, who is also an independent commissioner for the Indonesia Healthcare Corporation.

With a lack of physicians historically, Diri Care seeks to give people in Indonesia simple access to healthcare. The website provides a virtual clinic where users may get help for problems with their skin, hair, or private parts.

The money obtained will be put to use expanding the company’s market reach and enhancing its platform.

According to a statement, since the beta launch of its platform in March of this year, Diri Care, which was founded by Christian Suwarna, Armand Amadeus, and Dr Deviana Himawan, has logged over 13,000 consultations.
