Dreamfly Innovations raised Rs 12 Cr Seed funding
With the help of Sunicon Ventures and other current investors, battery technology startup Dreamfly Innovations has raised Rs 12 crore in its seed round, which is being led by Avaana Capital.
In an angel round earlier in 2023, the company raised Rs 4.9 crore from Rebalance Angel Community and other investors.
The money raised will go toward building a manufacturing facility, growing the company’s workforce, and accelerating the development of its battery solutions.
Kajal Shah and Saurabh Markandeya founded Dreamfly in 2022 to supply battery solutions for drones, aviation, and aerospace applications, with a focus on agriculture, terrain mapping, logistics, and surveillance.
Its battery solutions have a thermal case design that lowers the risk of fire and lowers operating temperatures.
According to the Bengaluru-based startup, its batteries are appropriate for a variety of environments because they can function at temperatures between -30°C and 50°C.
Among its principal clients are General Aeronautics, a drone technology company, Larsen & Toubro (L&T), and Tata Advanced Systems.
