E-commerce enabler Arche Digital acquired by BPaaS startup AnyMind

The business process as a service (BPaaS) startup AnyMind Group, based in Singapore, announced on Thursday that it had reached a deal to buy all of the shares of Malaysia-based e-commerce enabler Arche Digital.

AnyMind Group stated in a statement that by combining Arche Digital’s operational experience in e-commerce with AnyMind Group’s proprietary software for e-commerce and marketing, the acquisition of Arche Digital seeks to strengthen AnyMind Group’s BPaaS capabilities for local and foreign businesses in Malaysia.

It should be mentioned that BPaaS is a business model that offers operational support services as well as software for all business processes.

Established in 2015, Arche Digital offers a comprehensive array of services to businesses in Malaysia, such as developing e-commerce strategies, managing warehouses and logistics, operating online stores, marketing, and customer support.

The company has received over a million orders since its founding and has helped the expansion of numerous businesses, including household and international skincare brands.

“When considering merger and acquisition (M&A) opportunities, we evaluate the management team’s capability for leading the business in the medium to long term, and cultural fit, as well as synergy with our existing business,” said Kosuke Sogo, Chief Executive Officer and Co-founder of AnyMind Group.

“Arche Digital has a management team with deep expertise in the e-commerce field in Malaysia, and a track record of supporting various enterprises,

“We are confident that AnyMind and Arche Digital are able to create strong synergy together,” he added.

Arche Digital’s managing director, Steven Tan, stated that the company’s unwavering commitment to upholding the company’s legacy and seizing future opportunities has not changed in anticipation of the acquisition.

“Together, we plan to embark on a journey of innovation, growth, and shared success, guided by our shared vision and collective strengths,” he said.

The statement claims that Arche Digital will be AnyMind Group’s ninth acquisition in the last seven years, its first in Malaysia, its second acquisition of an e-commerce enabler after the company’s successful September 2023 acquisition of DDI, based in Indonesia, and its third acquisition in Southeast Asia.

A BPaaS for marketing, e-commerce, and digital transformation, AnyMind Group was established in Singapore in April 2016 and currently has its headquarters in Tokyo, Japan.

Brand Commerce and Partner Growth are two of the company’s main services for publishers, influencers, and brands.
