EDT raises $2.4 M Pre-series A funding from Sauce, enters beauty tech

Mumbai-based consumer technology brand EDT has secured $2.4 million in a pre-Series A funding round led by existing investor Sauce, with participation from its existing angel investors.
The round also attracted investments from Alteria Capital, Raul Rai of Nicobar, Shibam Das and Arindam Paul of Atomberg, Ajith Pai of Delhivery, and Anushree Tainwala of Samsonite.
EDT plans to deploy the fresh capital towards building inventory ahead of the festive season, introducing new products and strengthening its growth, supply chain, brand and product teams.
Founded in 2025 by Naiyya Saggi and Vyasateja Rao, EDT currently has a portfolio of kitchen appliances that includes the LUMA air fryer oven and FLOW kettle. Its products are sold through Amazon, Flipkart, Blinkit, Croma, FoodStories and its direct-to-consumer platform. According to the company, its Amazon business expanded nearly sevenfold between March and July 2026.
The company has also expanded into beauty technology with SUKI, a hair dryer powered by its patent-pending CareDry Algorithm. EDT said the product uses dual sensors to track hair and airflow conditions 100 times per second and automatically adjust the heat accordingly.
SUKI is currently being offered at a limited-time pre-order price of Rs 8,499 through EDT’s D2C platform. The company plans to make the product available through marketplaces and retail outlets later this year.
EDT said it has three additional products in development across the home, kitchen and beauty technology categories. Going forward, the company will focus on R&D, expanding its product portfolio, strengthening omnichannel distribution, building its community and growing its team.
