Healthcare startup MediElaj raises $100K Pre-seed funding from family, friends

MediElaj, a smart diagnostic kiosk and healthcare app, has raised almost $100,000 from friends and relatives.
The company’s technology platform, AI healthcare ecosystem, kiosk infrastructure, and operational capabilities have all been developed by the founders using over $500K in bootstrapped funding.
According to a press release from MediElaj, the proceeds will be used for product development, kiosk prototyping, cloud architecture and software development, integrating healthcare devices and sensors, preparing for pilot deployments, and creating a research and operational foundation for scalable growth.
Debjit Patra and Umesh Khatri co-founded MedPredict in June 2023, a health technology business that uses its main platform, MediElaj, to offer AI-powered diagnostic solutions. The company’s combined app and smart kiosk strategy is intended to provide underprivileged populations in India and beyond with early diagnosis and preventive healthcare.
By combining AI-assisted health screening, non-invasive diagnostics, conversational healthcare guidance, and digital health records, the Gurugram-based startup’s kiosks provide intelligent healthcare support to communities in smaller towns and rural areas without requiring patients to travel to urban centers.
In order to create a healthcare ecosystem that reaches Tier 2, Tier 3, rural, and underserved markets, the company is now getting ready to develop partnerships, build manufacturing capabilities for scalable production, establish nationwide deployment capacity, and advance its AI technologies and cybersecurity infrastructure.
