Edtech startup ODA Class raised $500K Series B funding
The edtech startup ODA Class, based in Bengaluru, has raised $500K from Matrix Partners China, Daituzi Education Technology Corporation Limited, and Skywalker Education Technology Co. Ltd. (Singapore) in its Series B round.
With the most recent funding round, the ODA Class has raised $12.75 million in total funding.
The Chinese education giant Yuanfudao contributed an undisclosed sum to the startup’s pre-Series A funding round in March 2020. The business raised $9 million in 2021, $3 million in 2022, and an extra $250K in 2023.
As per ODA Class, the funds will be allocated to various crucial domains to optimize the impact, such as digital marketing, which will augment the organization’s brand awareness and expand its reach to a wider public.
ODA Class, which was founded in 2019, provides live online courses for students in grades 1 through 10. The company offers affordable, high-quality education through the use of AI technologies and creative marketing techniques.
ODA Class has taught over 25,000 long-term students and hopes to enroll 100,000 students by 2024 while keeping up the improvement of its learning platform. Its educators come from IITs and NITs.
According to the company, its FY22 revenues were Rs 26.90 crore, and its FY23 and FY24 revenues were Rs 63.76 crore and Rs 65.81 crore, respectively. The company was able to optimize its expenditures while operating concurrently; in FY22, FY23, and FY24, costs were reported at Rs 79.20 crore, Rs 107.81 crore, and Rs 85.20 crore.
