Egyptian food-tech startup Brotinni secured expansion funding

Entilaq has provided funding to Egyptian food tech and dark butcher solutions startup Brotinni, which is bringing innovation to the meat industry, so that it can grow both domestically and internationally.

Dalia Abou Omar launched Brotinni in late 2020 as a way for customers to order freshly cut, farm-sourced, vacuum-sealed meat and poultry. In addition, it sells products that are ready to cook and flash-frozen, and it uses its own fleet of drivers to handle deliveries.

With the completion of its “dark butchery” model, Brotinni has opened its first warehouse to serve its clients throughout Cairo, ensuring streamlined product flow and quick shipping—the first of its kind in Egypt and the entire Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

After raising US $600,000 in seed funding in November 2022, Brotinni has now obtained additional funding from Entilaq to grow its business in Egypt and other surrounding markets.
