Eight Egyptian edtech startups selected by EdVentures
The edtech-focused venture capital division of Nahdet Misr Group, EdVentures, has chosen eight new businesses for support and funding, expanding its portfolio of investments.
This choice was made after each business accelerator participant in EdVentures’ most recent program underwent a thorough evaluation. EdVentures’ dedication to promoting innovation and enhancing Egypt’s educational system—making it more affordable and superior for all—is demonstrated by this strategic initiative.
With the addition of the new startups, EdVentures’ portfolio will now stand at 22, with 14 other notable companies in which it has previously made investments. The commitment of EdVentures to fostering the next generation of entrepreneurs and its firm belief in the transformative power of innovation in education are demonstrated by these new investments.
These innovative startups provide ground-breaking products meant to use technology to transform traditional education and greatly improve students’ educational experiences. Among the startups highlighted are:
- Elkheta: An innovative educational platform providing tutoring lessons and exercises based on the new Egyptian curriculum to help students enhance their academic performance.
- Saikoro: A platform that makes learning enjoyable by converting traditional educational content into digital formats and interactive games.
- The Copywriter: An engaging educational platform that helps young individuals develop their professional skills through career guidance in creativity and writing.
- Techy App: Focused on teaching STEM subjects, this app merges an electronic platform with a physical school to offer experiential learning for children and adolescents aged 6 to 18.
- SchoolZ: A specialised transportation system for school students, providing a safe and convenient way to commute.
- ArmStrong: An interactive online platform offering STEM courses that bridge the gap between school curricula and real-world applications, available in both Arabic and English for students aged 4 to 18.
- Tutoro: A platform connecting students and teachers for face-to-face lessons, with plans to collaborate with universities and introduce an AI-powered robot assistant for future study support.
- InvestED: A platform linking companies and schools to assist students who are unable to complete their education by addressing their financial needs through fundraising efforts.
Furthermore, EdVentures has been selected by the Ministry of Communications to oversee Egypt’s digital innovation hubs, beginning with the “Creativa” hub located in Sohag. This project demonstrates EdVentures’ dedication to developing a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem in all of the governorates where it operates by implementing and overseeing programs at Egypt’s digital centers.
