Eighth Africa’s Business Heroes competition open for applications

The eighth edition of Africa’s Business Heroes competition is now accepting applications. The winning businesses will receive a total of US $1.5 million.
Alibaba Philanthropy and the Jack Ma Foundation support the ABH competition, a charitable initiative that honours and promotes African business owners.
Since 2019, ABH has given ten worthy entrepreneurs a total grant of US $1.5 million annually, along with substantial networking, training, exposure, and mentorship opportunities.
Being selected as one of the ABH finalists grants access to the tools and assistance required to grow a company. The top ten finalists split a grant of US $1.5 million, with US $300,000 going to the grand prize winner, US $250,000 to the first runner-up, and US $150,000 to the second runner-up.
Each of the remaining finalists receives US $100,000, plus an extra US $100,000 for training in global immersion. NovFeed, a Tanzanian biotech startup, won the competition last year.
