Equity & debt Pre-Series A funding raised by D2C intimacy brand MyMuse

The pre-Series A debt and equity financing round, which was led by Saama Capital and included participation from Sauce VC, Whiteboard Capital, Trifecta Capital, and Kunal Shah, has brought $2.7 million to the direct-to-consumer intimacy brand MyMuse.

The Mumbai-based business previously raised $1.2 million in a seed round in August 2022, with participation from Sauce VC, Whiteboard Capital, Mohit and Malika Sadanni, Varun Sadana, and other investors. The round was led by Saama Capital.

According to a press release from MyMuse, the additional funds will be used to finance inventory, bolster its omni-channel presence, expand its distribution network throughout India, and improve portfolio and brand awareness.

Dedicated to sexual wellness, MyMuse is a gender-neutral brand that was co-founded in 2021 by Sahil and Anushka Gupta. Products include body massagers, lubricants, oils, couple games, gift kits, and relatable content. In addition to its website, the business distributes its products through other online marketplaces like Amazon, Nykaa, Zepto, and others.

MyMuse states that it has served over 150,000 customers in over 800 cities throughout Tier I, II, and III markets, with a 15% month-over-month growth.

Bold Care, ThatMate, Janani, Mosaic Wellness, and Gynoveda are some of the other prominent participants in this market.
