Eximius Ventures led $1.1 M Pre-seed funding raised by fintech startup Vegapay
Eximius Ventures led a pre-seed funding round in which the fintech startup Vegapay, a platform for digital lending and card management, raised $1.1 million.
Additionally investing in the round were DSP HMK, Capri Global, Upsparks Capital, MGA Ventures, Climber Capital, Arun Venkatachalam (Murugappa Group), Pratekk Agarwaal (General Partner at GrowthCap Ventures), and a large number of angel investors.
In order to make frontline adoption easier for institutions and non-institutions, Vegapay plans to use the funding to further develop its technology.
Vegapay is developing a lending tech stack and card management system that will allow regulated entities as well as fintechs to issue and further increase card as well as lending penetration in India. It was co-founded in October 2022 by Gaurav Mittal (Ex-Zeta), Himanshu Agrawal (Ex-Amazon), Puneet Sharma (Ex-BharatPe), and Abhinav Garg (Ex-Podeum).
In order to help institutions tailor the kinds of products they choose to offer, including co-lending, secured credit, unsecured credit, and more, the startup seeks to develop an omnichannel lending solution.
A pre-seed stage fund with offices in Bengaluru and Delhi NCR is called Eximius Ventures. The company invests up to $500k in early-stage startups in the fintech, healthtech, media, entertainment, and gaming industries.
