Fasal enters agricultural output industry; in discussion to raise funds
Agritech company Fasal, which focuses on precision farming, has entered the farming output market under the Fasal Fresh brand at a time when the demand for high-quality food is on the rise, bolstered by macroeconomic tailwinds like climate change and food security concerns.
Fasal Fresh, a B2B brand that has been in development since last year, will use retailers, e-commerce companies, wholesalers, and exporters to provide food developed through precision farming to customers, the business said on February 28.
Agritech company Fasal, which focuses on precision farming, has expanded into the agricultural output market under the Fasal Fresh brand at a time when the demand for high-quality food is on the rise and is being bolstered by external factors like climate change and food security concerns.
“We will have lesser wastage because we are directly harvesting from the farm based on demand from such players, not harvesting and then finding a customer for that produce,” founder and chief executive officer (CEO) Shailendra Tiwari told as per reports.
According to Fasal, this action will enable the agritech player in removing middlemen from the sales process of agricultural commodities, hence lowering the number of contact points for the produce, assuring more equitable prices for the farmers, and simplifying the procurement process for the purchasers.
