F&B startup Nuvie raises $450K Pre-seed funding from PedalStart

In its first pre-seed funding round, F&B startup Nuvie raised $450K (roughly Rs 3.8 crore) with the help of startup accelerator PedalStart. Ayyappan R, Chanakya Gupta, Arun Sharma, and Mukesh Bansal (founder of Myntra, Cult.fit, and Nurix) also participated.
The money raised will be used to develop new products, build brands, create content, increase distribution, and seize growth opportunities.
Nuvie, which was co-founded in May 2024 by Prashant Paliwal and Hem Narayan, wants to revolutionize healthy eating in India by introducing “better for you” goods like enhanced milkshakes and chocolates that make wellness pleasurable and affordable. Its goal is to make health feel easy, fun, and a natural part of life by dispelling the stigma and gravity that are frequently attached to it.
It is now launching five new shake varieties after launching its lactose-free Ready to Drink Protein Shake in three flavors. Other cutting-edge products in the pipeline include protein-infused cold coffee, or “Proffee,” a protein chocolate bar, and a healthier alternative to traditional chocolates.
According to Nuvie, the company has grown and is currently offered in over 100 upscale retail locations in major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai. Additionally, its products are sold in more than 200 gyms across the country via popular e-commerce sites like Blinkit, Instamart, and BigBasket. The company’s primary goal is to increase its online visibility through its own website and rapid commerce platforms.
In its first month of operation, the Bengaluru-based startup reported generating over Rs 10 lakh in revenue, indicating strong early traction. At an ARR of Rs 10 crore, it now hopes to end CY 2025.
