Fintech Corporate Sprint Accelerator in Abu Dhabi accepting applications

The Fintech Corporate Sprint Accelerator in Abu Dhabi is now accepting applications from startups from across the globe.

According to a release, StartAD, an accelerator located in Abu Dhabi, organized the three-week course in collaboration with Ripple’s University Blockchain Research Initiative.

Startups who are chosen will get funding to demonstrate their ideas at GITEX, an annual technology trade expo that will take place from October 10 to 14 this year.

“CSA 9 offers the most cutting-edge fintech startups a platform to put their best foot forward in the GCC, by opening doors to business deals and partnerships with leading local corporations, preparing startups for the region’s regulatory framework, providing access to investment opportunities, and building their network in the global financial services and startup ecosystem,” StartAD’s managing director Ramesh Jagannathan (below) said.

Participants in the market access accelerator will get access to training, networking opportunities, brand building, and one-on-one meetings with influential investors, media members, and startup ecosystem leaders.

Additionally, the accelerator will choose individuals to receive an XRPL award, valued at around $25,000, to work on open-source, public blockchain solutions.

Startups developing fintech solutions are welcome to apply for the program. They have to be in the pre-seed or seed stages of development, with the product development stage finished.

Some focus areas include blockchain-powered apps, peer-to-peer lending, insurance, digital platforms for financial product distribution, cryptocurrencies and remittances, identification and authentication, payment gateways, financial literacy, and financial inclusion.
