The longest-running technology event on the continent, Africa Tech Festival, has revealed its first speakers for its 29th edition, which will take place in Cape Town in November.
The Africa Tech Festival, which takes place from November 16–19 at the Cape Town International Convention Center, brings together the decision-makers influencing investment around the continent and the leaders influencing Africa’s digital future.
Solly Malatsi, the Minister of Communications and Digital Technologies in South Africa; Alex Okosi, the managing director of Google Africa; Emmanuel Lubanzadio, the head of OpenAI Africa; and Robert Koen, the managing director of Amazon Sub-Saharan Africa, are among the confirmed speakers.
Leaders from Africa’s telecom industry, such as Daddy Yogo Ngbabendo from Airtel Africa, Norbert Prihoda from Tunisie Telecom, and Enzo Scarcella from MTN Group, join them.
“What stands out this year is the pace of collaboration across industries. Investment is flowing, partnerships are forming, and the leaders joining us in Cape Town are turning conversation into action on some of Africa’s biggest digital challenges. That’s the role Africa Tech Festival plays: bringing people together to get things done,” said David Monaghan, VP of Africa Tech Festival.
