Food discovery platform Hogr receives Rs 10 Cr Seed funding from Curefoods

Curefoods, a cloud kitchen brand that houses brands like EatFit and Cakezone, led a seed funding round of Rs 10 crore for Hogr, a social platform that facilitates restaurant and food discovery.

The funds raised will be utilized to improve the Hogr app’s functionality, release updates, and broaden its user base.

Hogr is a food discovery platform founded by Jugul Thachery and Harish Harshan. It allows users to find new restaurants and dishes by receiving personalized recommendations from friends, family, and other food enthusiasts who share their tastes. With a simple recommendation system, it provides customized recommendations for making well-informed dining decisions and expanding one’s culinary network.

The app, developed in Bengaluru, makes it easier for users to find new restaurants and recommend them to other foodies on social media.

Curefoods is the parent company of EatFit, Yumlane, CakeZone, Masalabox, and Aligarh House Biryani. It operates more than 100 kitchens in 12 Indian cities. Curefoods raised Rs 300 crore ($36.5 million) in April of this year through an equity and debt round headed by Three State Ventures, Binny Bansal’s fund. Curefoods also purchased Millet Express and YumLane Pizza this year.
