Fourth Visa Africa Fintech Accelerator selected 22 startups

The fourth iteration of the Visa Africa Fintech Accelerator has chosen twenty-two African tech startups.
The 12-week intensive Africa Fintech Accelerator program was introduced in 2023 as part of Visa’s commitment to invest US$1 billion in financial inclusion in Africa by 2027. Its goal is to assist startups in accelerating their growth and impact.
64 startups have been accelerated thus far, and there are currently nearly 20 active partnerships. Visa recently invested in two ventures from the third program and provided strategic funding to four startups that participated in the first program in 2023.
The fourth iteration of the virtual accelerator program, which will culminate in an in-person demo day, has now chosen twenty-two ventures.
PressPayNg, Shiga Digital, Startbutton, and Vittas are four Nigerian startups, and Lemonade Payments, Muda, Sevi, ShopOkoa, and Twiva are five Kenyan startups.
Two startups each represent Egypt (Flend, MNZL), Morocco (Hsabati, Woliz), and Zimbabwe (BigDot.ai, ChatCash). Credify Africa (Uganda), IPT Africa (Mauritius), Maishapay (Democratic Republic of Congo), Motito (Ghana), mystocks.africa (Botswana), OKO Finance (Ivory Coast), and Zazu (South Africa) round out the cohort.
The fifth cohort of the Visa Africa Fintech Accelerator is currently accepting applications. Fintech companies based in Africa that have a market-ready solution or a minimum viable product (MVP) are encouraged to apply by August 15.
