German’s David Lamm Consulting acquired by Vietnam’s IT firm FPT

Information technology (IT) company FPT Software, based in Vietnam, announced on Monday that it has fully acquired German IT consulting firm David Lamm Consulting, which has extensive experience in the energy industry.
In addition to strengthening its capacity to provide digital solutions and services for energy and utilities companies—one of the major growth engines that account for almost half of FPT’s total revenue in this region—this strategic move reaffirms FPT’s commitment to expanding its footprint throughout Germany and Europe, the company said in a statement.
With a wide range of digital skills, including full-stack development, systems, applications, and products (SAP), user interface (UI)/user experience (UX) design, system integration, and salesforce integration, David Lamm Consulting will support the recently formed Utilities Solution Practice unit under FPT’s European subsidiary.
Providing customized solutions to energy and utility companies throughout the continent is the main objective of this specialized unit.
Additionally, FPT will continue to work on David Lamm Consulting’s ongoing projects, guaranteeing their clients continuity and excellence through FPT’s delivery capabilities made possible by its wide-ranging global network.
“With this valuable addition, FPT will further strengthen our position as a strategic partner for energy and utilities companies across Europe and beyond,
“Our combined domain expertise, proven track record, and highly skilled talent pool across 30 countries will enable us to accelerate innovation and deliver sustainable, future-ready solutions for complex challenges faced by global businesses,” said Nguyen Khai Hoan, FPT Software Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer cum Chief Operating Officer, FPT Corporation.
The purchase strengthens the alliance the two businesses formed in October 2024 with the goal of jointly creating cutting-edge energy production, distribution, and sustainable development solutions.
With more than 16 years of experience operating in Europe, FPT has built a solid local presence in nine countries and is a reliable partner for digital transformation for businesses in a variety of sectors, such as banking and finance, healthcare, energy and utilities, and automotive. It has more than 150 top European companies as clients, including Siemens, Viessmann, Covestro, E.ON, Schaeffler, and Volvo.
In order to increase its capabilities, broaden its clientele, and quicken the expansion of its worldwide footprint, FPT has been actively pursuing mergers and acquisitions (M&A) since 2014.
The company’s 2014 acquisition of RWE IT Slovakia was the first Vietnamese IT company to engage in international M&A.
