Green Changemakers Challenge invites African startups to submit applications
African startups have been invited to submit applications for the third Green Changemakers Challenge, a global innovation contest looking for products that give people the skills and mindset to help create a sustainable and just world.
The Green Changemakers Challenge, which is being run by Ashoka in partnership with HSBC, will support initiatives that help individuals and communities identify the part they can play in combating the climate crisis and ensuring that no one is left behind.
From a total prize pool of $225,000, the challenge will give innovators grants worth up to US $25,000 and the chance to go on a learning expedition with the HSBC and Ashoka teams.
It is looking for green changemakers who are building inclusive pathways for people to participate, crafting data and information into compelling narratives that motivate action, and building structures of support for already proven solutions.
Up to 12 winners may be chosen for the challenge, and they will be chosen to reflect the variety of applications received from the three focus areas and geographical regions. Up until April 26th, applications are accepted here.
