Grinntech raises USD 2 million from HNIs

Chennai: Grinntech, a startup specializing in lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles (EVs) and energy storage systems, has raised $2 million from high net-worth individuals (HNIs) including V Sumantran, Ashok Leyland, and V Lakshmi Narayanan. Both Narayanan and Sumantran will be part of Grinntech Board.
Founded in 2013 by Nikhilesh Mishra and Puneet Jain, the IIT-Madras incubated Grinntech offers a range of lithium-ion batteries and works closely with global companies by providing them with the cost-effective manufacturing methods, materials, and semiconductors.
