Healthtech platform Viraa Care raised $108K Pre-seed funding
Viraa Care, a health tech platform, has raised $108,000 from a group of European angel investors in a pre-seed funding round.
Previously, in January 2024, the Chandigarh-based startup raised $100,000 in the same round.
A press release states that the money raised will go toward the company’s global expansion and its live courses on infant and pediatric nutrition, which provide parents with professional advice that prioritizes wholesome, fresh foods.
Sonal Babbar-Bhardwaj and Mayank Bhardwaj co-founded Viraa Care in 2023. The company offers online courses for parents on subjects like bottle and breastfeeding, introducing real food to babies, managing nutrition, and dealing with picky eating issues. Reliance on processed baby products that are loaded with artificial additives and preservatives is to be eradicated by the platform.
One-on-one consultations and live courses are the two primary programs that Viraa Care provides. The three-month program consists of one-on-one sessions with experts on breastfeeding, solids introduction, and baby nutrition, providing parents with individualized guidance. These subjects are covered in the live courses as well, which consist of recorded lessons followed by interactive live sessions where parents can speak with experts face-to-face. Five modules are usually included in each course.
More than 500 families have reportedly benefited from Viraa Care’s assistance in the US and India. The platform also reports that it has conducted more than 500 sessions and that its customer base has grown by two times per month. It wants to improve its platform to offer personalized dietary guidance and launch new workshops to teach parents about important subjects like breastfeeding, baby nutrition, and general child development.
