Healthtech startup Monitra Health raised $1.5 M Pre-Series A funding

Equanimity Ventures and Kotak Alternate Asset Managers led a pre-Series A funding round that brought $1.5 million to the healthtech startup Monitra Health.

The money raised will be utilized to accelerate the expansion of upBeat, a remote cardiac monitoring platform developed by Monitra Health and aimed at both domestic and international markets.

Under the direction of Ravi Bhogu, Monitra Health works with medical device channel partners and healthcare providers in a B2B2C model. The startup intends to grow throughout India and has already established a distribution network in Hyderabad, Kerala, and Maharashtra.

The startup from Hyderabad has created a massively scalable full-stack remote cardiac monitoring platform. UpBeat, the flagship product of Monitra Health, is a diagnostic tool for palpitations, dizziness, and unexplained fainting.

According to Monitra, over 10,000 patients have been successfully monitored, and over 7.5 billion heartbeats have been analyzed over 720,000 hours. The company states that it has global patents pending in the US, the EU, and Canada, and that it has patents in Australia and India.
