Homversity raised $1 M Pre-series A funding from Shur-UP, IPV and others
Shuru-Up, IPV (Inflection Point Ventures), Value Angels, Vinners Group, TAS, Pro-Growth Ventures, Growth 91, and other investors have contributed $1 million to the pre-Series A round of funding for the student housing networks platform Homversity.
In the past, the Ahmedabad-based business has raised $378K from Shuru-Up and other sources.
Homversity stated in a press release that the money will be used to build a high-end, scalable student housing operator model, support expansion plans to broaden the platform’s user base, and enhance its services for students all over India.
Homversity is a student housing network that was established in 2019 by Saurav Kumar Sinha and organizes various verticals of the Indian student housing market. The platform focuses on organizing the industry’s main verticals, including good food, a comfortable stay, and a safe, secure environment for students with easy-to-use procedures and support features like a 100% cancellation refund.
Regardless of whether students are from urban or rural areas, homelessness removes the burden of food and living expenses by offering a high standard of living and nutritious meals. By doing this, it guarantees that students won’t have to worry about these fundamental needs and can concentrate on their studies, networking, and personal development.
Over 35 million students enroll each year across 51,000 universities, colleges, and institutes, creating an opportunity worth Rs 58,000 crore for the student housing sector in India, according to market research.
According to Homversity, its strengths are its comprehensive, in-depth database and profound understanding of the difficulties faced by both landlords and tenants. This knowledge enables the platform to provide customized solutions that improve the user experience for all users by addressing major issues in the student housing market.
