Ice cream brand Go Zero raised Rs 30 Cr Series A funding

Go Zero, an ice cream company, has raised Rs 30 crore (roughly $3.4 million) in its Series A funding round from current investors Saama Capital, V3 Ventures, and DSG Consumer Partners. Notable investors Aman Gupta (through Shark Tank India) and Namita Thapar (outside the tank) also made subtle contributions.
To date, Go Zero has raised $6 million with this round. DSG Consumer Partners, Saama, and V3 Ventures contributed $1.5 million to Go Zero’s follow-on pre-Series A funding round earlier in June 2024.
The money raised will support Go Zero’s continued growth on quick-commerce platforms in tier I and tier II markets, as well as supply chain expansion, product innovation, and brand expansion.
Go Zero was founded by Kiran Shah and offers a wide range of products, including vegan, high-protein, and low-calorie ice creams. According to the startup, plant-based sweeteners, which are low in calories, are used to sweeten all of its products.
Go Zero asserts that it has provided 100% sugar-free products with 50% fewer calories than conventional ice creams since its launch in July 2022. In its second year, the brand’s revenue increased five times, and in its third, it increased three times.
Go Zero recorded its highest-ever sales in January 2025, surpassing Rs 5 crore in revenue, even though January is the off-season for ice cream sales.
With a significant following in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pune, Delhi, Mumbai, and other cities, Go Zero is also planning to introduce new guilt-free formats like cassata and kulfi sticks. Two manufacturing facilities are currently run by the company in Bangalore and Mumbai.
NIC, Hocco, and Hangyo Ice Cream are competitors of Go Zero. A funding round led by Jungle Ventures helped NIC raise $11 million in 2023, and Hocco also obtained $12 million from investors, including the Chona family. In the meantime, in August of last year, Hangyo Ice Cream raised $25 million from Faering Capital, securing the largest venture funding for an ice cream brand in India.
