In extended Series A round, BharatAgri raised Rs 14 crores

The extended Series A round of funding for the farm advising portal BharatAgri, which was headed by Capria Ventures, raised Rs 14 crore. Important investors including Omnivore, India Quotient, 021 Capital, Ratnagiri Impex, and Sanjiv Rangrass also took part in the round.

The money would be utilized, according to BharatAgri, to expand its tailored advisory-driven Krushidukan e-commerce segment.

BharatAgri, an organization founded in 2017 by Siddharth Dialani and Sai Gole, provides farmers with AI-based agronomy services in an effort to boost agricultural revenues via the methodical use of scientific farming methods. Over 30 data points are gathered by the platform’s unique technology, which is then utilized to produce customised films that serve as a year-long, seasoned scientific advisory/schedule.

With more than 2 lakh acres of land under cultivation, BharatAgri asserts that its high-end advice services have benefited more than 1 lakh farmers.

The startup had secured $6.5 million in its Series A round earlier in September 2021, which was headed by Omnivore. Additionally, the company took part in the fourth cohort of the Google for Startups Accelerator India program, which began operations in September 2020.
