India can become $40 trillion economy by 2047: Mukesh Ambani

Mukesh Ambani, Chairman and Managing Director of Reliance Industries, claimed that India can sustainably and steadily grow its GDP to $40 trillion by 2047.

On the occasion of the Reliance Family Day Function, he was addressing.

“This goal is realistic and achievable because India is blessed with… The power of young demography; The power of a mature democracy; And the newly acquired power of technology,” he said.

According to Ambani, the next 25 years will be the most transformative in India’s 5,000-year history and will see the country’s economy develop exponentially.

According to Ambani, India will transition from a period of scarcity, shortages, and pervasive poverty to one of inclusive wealth, an abundance of possibilities, and an unfathomable rise in the standard of living for its 1.4 billion citizens.

Similar to that, he added, India is considered a bright light throughout the world at a time when uncertainty, volatility, and even regression can be witnessed in many areas of the world.

“Therefore, I would like every leader and every employee in Reliance to know that destiny has given us an opportunity — and also a responsibility — to make a pivotal contribution to realisation of the enormous promise of India’s Amrut Kaal,” he stated.

Ambani claimed that Reliance has started a road of total self-transformation after becoming acutely conscious of this potential and duty.

He said that Reliance would reach the halfway point of its Golden Decade by the end of 2022 and that it will have been in operation for fifty years by then.

“All of us are proud of what we have achieved so far. But the journey ahead is going to be far more exciting, more rewarding, but also more challenging,” he said.

In the following decade, India will see profound, amazing, and unexpected transformations, according to Ambani, who also sees India riding this wave of change and accomplishing impossibly difficult feats.

“Therefore, as India’s leading corporate, Reliance has to rise to the call of the times and fulfill the nation’s expectations,” he said.

Reliance has started carrying out the two-pronged mission of equipping Reliance with new leadership and new talent capitals, with a focus on youthful leadership and talent, in order to be able to do so.

“We will pay a lot of attention to developing captivity, capability, and competence at all levels. I would like our leaders to accelerate this process throughout the organisation. All of us must realise that the next big cycle of growth in Reliance will not be resource-driven but innovation-driven,” he said.

Ambani was urged to use 2023 at Reliance as a year of audacious and trailblazing initiatives. “I am sure we will achieve trail-blazing successes,” he said.
