Indonesia-based Power Commerce Asia raised undisclosed Series A funding

Power Commerce Asia, an omnichannel e-commerce and supply chain service provider located in Indonesia, has raised an undisclosed Series A funding round from PT Interport Mandiri Utama, a subsidiary of local energy major PT Indika Energy Tbk.

PT SAP Express Tbk, a local logistics solutions firm, joined as a co-investor.

Power Commerce Asia will be able to develop in the Southeast Asian market thanks to the additional funding. As an entrance point, the company is actively hiring team members in Malaysia.

Furthermore, SAP Express’ network of 209 storage sites will be used to create a digital logistic ecosystem.

Hadi Kuncoro, the CEO and creator of Power Commerce Asia, stated in a joint statement that the firm would continue to expand profitably and sustainably until its IPO in 2025.

Kuncoro, who was the CEO of Bangkok-based e-commerce enabler aCommerce from 2015 to 2017, created Power Commerce Asia in 2019.

E-commerce marketplace enablement, technology development, warehouse management, shipping management & delivery service, digital marketing, payment management, and omnichannel ERP system management are among the services provided by the company.

Its goal is to help brands and small companies connect their online and physical product sales, allowing national and global brands to expand throughout the worldwide market.

By combining the marketplace, web commerce, O2O, social commerce, chat commerce, virtual reseller, point of sale (POS), warehouse management system (WMS), and IP multimedia subsystem, the business claims to create a “seamless buying experience” (IMS).

“In the midst of growing competition in the e-commerce industry, Power Commerce Asia comes with the concept of omnichannel e-commerce and supply chain management, which we believe will be the answer to the problems that e-commerce industry players, especially logistics, often face,” said Yukki Nugrahawan Hanafi, Vice President Director of Interport.

Power Commerce Asia claims to have grown 132 times in three years, indicating that it has reached the scale-up stage. It experienced a 22x revenue increase, 28x transactions, 26x customers, 24x items sold, and 12x average monthly sales by the end of 2021.

Power Commerce Asia has warehouses in Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, and Surabaya, as well as plans to expand into Malaysia.

Among its clients are Ovaltine (a Swiss nutritious drink firm) and Twinings (a luxury tea company based in London).
