InfoEdge Ventures led $1.5 M Seed funding raised by gaming studio Funstop
Funstop Games, a casual gaming studio based in Gurugram, has raised $1.5 million in its seed round, with InfoEdge Ventures leading the investment.
According to a press release from Funstop, the money will go toward growing its game development team and investing in ad tech capabilities to enhance its current library of games.
Funstop Games is a mobile game developer and publisher that was co-founded in 2020 by Prashanth Vijay and Tamesh Sharma. Its mission is to create critically acclaimed games with an emphasis on exceptional game design and captivating gameplay mechanics.
With over 50 million downloads and over $4 million in revenue, Funstop Games claims that its popular games have been charted in 15 countries. “Airport Rush 3D” and “Perfect Time” are two of the company’s successful releases.
Zuraverse, Gamier, Teamsid Gaming Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Skillgames, based in Mumbai, and Genieee are some of the other prominent players in the casual gaming market.
A group of investors led by Nitin Kamath of Rainmatter contributed $2 million to the pre-Series A funding round for tech sports brand Game Theory last week.
